Simple marble run

category: games

A simple marble run to test some designs i'm working on. A fun little toy for all ages.

All joints fit loosely, so the use of some superglue is needed. You'll also need to wax the moving components (offset circles and the arms).

You can find a general assembly video on Youtube: https://youtu.be/441tWKPltiM
And a video showing it in action:
https://youtu.be/6knj0zOkS48

to make it you'll need to lasercut these files:

-arm_long x2
-arm short x2
-arm holding plate x1
-axis x2
-stopper x2
-backplate x1
-frontplate x1
-Bottom x1
-Sideplate x2
-sideplate_top x2
-cup_top x2
-cup_back x2
-cup_wall x4
-handle (optional x1)
-handle_stick (optional x1)
-offset_circle x4
-path_inside x1
-path_outside x1
-path_holder x4
-path_link x2

Nice, now make it with 10 steps and make the track with puzzle joints for longer tracks and you have a nice little piece you can develop to a hit :-)

Thanks! I got a 6 step one drawn out, but I still need to see how much height I actually need in my final build :)

Hi, could you clarify? They show up as complete parts for me.

Just download any part and import it to corel draw, you will see what I mean.

I've been able to replicate the problem. My solution was to convert the files to pdf first. Then they worked fine :)
